Digital Keep is a private vault platform in invitation-only beta. It lets invited testers organize notes, documents and instructions, then optionally give chosen people read-only access. Future legacy delivery is a separate feature still in development.
Do I have to share my vault?
No. Create your account, create your vault and keep it for yourself. Adding people, sharing items and preparing an inheritance plan are optional.
What can I test in the beta?
Try creating notes and instructions, adding attachments, downloading them and sharing sample items. Use fictional information and files only. Keep real records in your existing storage while the beta is being tested.
Can I share information while I am alive?
Yes. Use Share now to give a chosen person access to selected items or your whole vault. They can read and download, but cannot edit. Whole-vault access includes items you add in the future.
Does the person I share with need an account?
Yes. During beta, they need their own active beta account, a matching verified email and an accepted connection invitation. Sharing an invitation link does not give them beta membership. Only granting access through Share now allows them to read your chosen content.
Can I change my mind after sharing?
Yes. Change the selected items, set an optional expiry date or revoke access. Expiry and revocation stop future reads and downloads through that permission, but cannot recall copies someone already saved.
How is my information protected?
Standard vault content and attachments use server-managed AES-GCM encryption. The server checks access on reads and downloads. A separate E2EE beta encrypts new notes and files in your browser; it has not had an independent audit and does not migrate existing items. Read the security page for both scopes and recovery limits.
Is Digital Keep a password manager?
No. It organizes information, context and instructions. It does not provide daily password autofill or replace your password manager. Do not put real passwords or recovery secrets in the beta.
Does Digital Keep automatically release information after death?
No. Death verification and automatic legacy delivery are not active. Naming an intended beneficiary is separate from sharing now and does not grant current access. Digital Keep does not transfer legal ownership of assets.
Does joining the waitlist give me access immediately?
No. The beta is free and invitation-only. Joining the waitlist lets us send beta invitation information and product updates. There is no confirmed public launch date or guaranteed invitation date.
