Terms of Use

These Terms cover the public website, early-access waitlist and invitation-only private beta.

Welcome to Digital Keep. Please read these Terms before joining the waitlist or using a beta account. By using either service, you agree to these Terms. Contact us through the contact page if you have a question about them.

1. About Digital Keep

Digital Keep provides free planning information, an early-access waitlist and a limited private beta for testing a digital information workspace. The beta helps invited testers try account, item, attachment, contact and feedback workflows.

References to “Digital Keep”, “we”, “us” or “our” mean the team operating these services. The Privacy Notice explains the public website and waitlist; the beta data policy explains test accounts and content.

2. Current status of the service

Digital Keep is not a complete inheritance or digital legacy release service. The private beta is an experimental test environment, not a production vault. Digital Keep does not currently provide:

• production storage for irreplaceable information or beneficiary access;
• automatic death verification or access to government registries;
• automatic delivery of sensitive information following death;
• transfer of money, cryptocurrency or other assets;
• banking, legal inheritance or testamentary services.

Screenshots, animations and examples may use fictional information. Features described on the website may change before a public launch.

3. Early-access waitlist

You may submit an email address and optional first name to join the waitlist. Joining is free. It does not create a subscription, require a future purchase, guarantee admission by a particular date, reserve a price or guarantee that a proposed feature will be released.

Early access may be limited. Digital Keep may change, delay, suspend or discontinue it where reasonably necessary for product development, security, operational or legal reasons.

4. Communications

If you join the waitlist, Digital Keep may contact you about early-access availability, launch information, important product updates, significant project changes, feedback opportunities and matters directly related to your registration. Every waitlist email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also use the unsubscribe page or contact us to withdraw your consent. Joining does not authorize unrelated promotional messages without an appropriate basis.

5. Age and eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to join the early-access program unless Digital Keep explicitly states otherwise in the future. You must not provide another person’s information without their authorization.

6. Do not submit sensitive information

The waitlist and ordinary contact channels are not a digital vault. Testers must use fictional information in the private beta and keep an independent copy of anything they need. Do not submit passwords, authentication or recovery codes, cryptocurrency seed phrases or private keys, banking or payment credentials, API keys, identity documents or confidential information about other real people.

7. Digital Keep does not transfer ownership

Digital Keep is intended to help people prepare and communicate information and instructions. Storing or delivering information does not transfer money, cryptocurrency, bank accounts, investments or real estate; determine legal heirs; override inheritance law; create a will; or replace succession proceedings, a lawyer or a notary.

Legal ownership remains subject to applicable law and the requirements of the relevant institutions and service providers.

8. No legal or financial advice

Website information is general information. Digital Keep does not provide legal, financial, tax, investment, inheritance or estate-planning advice. It is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional, and you remain responsible for deciding whether separate legal instruments are needed.

9. Future verification and release process

Digital Keep is being designed so that sensitive information is not released solely because a user temporarily stops responding. A future process may include check-ins, repeated contact attempts, beneficiary verification, evidence of death, waiting periods, manual review and other safeguards. The exact process has not been finalized.

Digital Keep does not currently guarantee automatic death detection, direct access to government registries, verification within a fixed timeframe, release exactly 24 hours after death or support in every jurisdiction.

10. Security

Standard-vault beta content and attachments use server-managed encryption. This is not end-to-end or zero-knowledge encryption: authorized server operations can decrypt content. Protect your account, use a unique password and enable multi-factor authentication. No digital system can be guaranteed completely secure. See the Security page for the current safeguards and limitations.

11. Privacy

Digital Keep may process your email address, an optional first name, technical website information, referral or campaign information and communications you send to us. Beta use also creates account, test content, activity and feedback records. The Privacy Notice, beta data policy and Cookie Notice explain those processes.

12. Acceptable use

You may not use Digital Keep to:

• break applicable law or impersonate another person;
• submit another person’s information without authorization;
• gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems or data;
• bypass security, disrupt the website or distribute malware;
• commit fraud, abuse the waitlist or deliberately overload the service;
• facilitate theft or unauthorized access to another person’s assets.

Digital Keep may restrict access where necessary to protect the website, its users or other people.

13. Intellectual property

The Digital Keep brand, website design, original graphics, interfaces, text, software and animations are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may use the website for personal and lawful purposes, but may not reproduce, sell, redistribute or commercially exploit substantial portions of its original content without permission, except where permitted by law. Third-party rights remain with their owners.

14. Product feedback

Feedback is voluntary. By submitting suggestions, you allow Digital Keep to use them to develop, improve or modify the product. This does not transfer ownership of your personal information or rights that cannot legally be transferred. Do not submit someone else’s confidential information as feedback.

15. Third-party services

Digital Keep may rely on third parties for hosting, databases, email, analytics, authentication, security and infrastructure. Their services may be governed by their own terms and policies. Digital Keep is not responsible for a third-party website merely because this website links to it.

16. Availability and development

Digital Keep is under active development. Its functionality, appearance and availability may change. We may redesign the website, modify planned functionality, add or remove features, suspend the website, limit early access, postpone a release or discontinue a proposed feature. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

17. Beta and early-access features

The private beta is available only by invitation. Access is personal, limited and may expire on the date shown in your dashboard. Do not share an invitation or let another person use your account. Beta features may contain bugs, incomplete functionality and significant changes between releases. Use only test information and do not rely on the beta as your sole backup or handoff plan. You can export or delete test data through account tools while access remains active. The beta data policy explains what happens when access or the beta ends.

18. Disclaimer

The public website, waitlist and beta are provided on an “as available” basis. Digital Keep aims to keep information accurate, but features and provider processes may change. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that an announced feature will be released. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

19. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Digital Keep will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the free informational website, waitlist or experimental beta. This limitation does not apply where the law prohibits it, including non-excludable consumer or data-protection rights.

20. Changes to Digital Keep

Digital Keep is an evolving project. Features, workflows, branding, pricing plans, release processes and technical architecture may change before or after public launch. Information on this website reflects the product at the time it is published and may later be updated.

21. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated as Digital Keep develops. The latest version will be published here with its update date. If a change materially affects active beta testers, we will give appropriate notice before it applies. Paid services or a production legacy-release function will require separate information and terms before they are offered.

22. Severability

If a provision of these Terms is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
